Album Only at iTMS

John Mayer's new As-Is exclusive deal with Apple is a bit scary. It's only available to download as an album. Not individual tracks.....any of em.



I thought Apple was completely against this. I hope this isnt the start of a pattern

    I won't be suprised to see this popping up more often. Apple will make certain "concessions" to get exclusive content.

    The policy was:

    At least one track in an album had to be downloadable. Exception: Songs over 7 minutes can be album only at any time.



    I think Apple realized how easy it was for record labels to get around this. A couple seconds of silence for 99 cents anybody? Pointless "commentary" clips? Unless Apple makes it a policy that all tracks have to be available as 99 cent downloads, the labels are going to start jumping on these weak policies anyway.

    I only wish we could buy songs on iTMS here in Mexico.

    go accross the border, or have someone do it, go to target and buy as many gift cards as they have, fudge an address, and vwala...
