Fans Won't Shut Off

Just got my dual 2ghz g5 yesterday. The fans run constantly even when no programs are running. They do shut off when it goes to sleep so it's not (I think) the 10.3.5 problem others are experiencing. I know this isn't normal because I have friends with the same rig and they're whisper quiet. The noise is giving me a headache. Any sugestions?

    I think the problem may be the update 10.3.5 but it may not be. I don't know.
