Wireless iPod as a remote for Airport Express

Airport Express seems cool and all, but needs a remote control to really make it useful to me. What would it take to make the iPod function as a wireless remote for playlists on your Mac, or for playing songs off the iPod itself directly to speakers connected to AE? It would be pretty slick to be walking around a party at your place and be able to have control of the music like that.

Idea number two, iPod networking:

Multiple wireless iPods in the same AE network could allow you to view and stream songs from the second user's library (a la Rendezvous on the Mac). For example, if 5 guests show up at a party with iPods, the host can view, select, cue up and play songs or playlists from the others for playback through AE. Files aren't being transfered/saved, just streaming, so it shouldn't raise any copyright issues.

Will Apple do it?

iPod too expensive to successfully be marketed as a "Remot Control"
iPod is a remote device, your main music library is idealy stored on your Hub (aka iMac/PowerMac) and this is where you would idealy be linking to for music playback.
What about a Bluetooth remote add-on?

    Seems logical to me.

Check out Joe Salings "Clicker" software. Let's you use your Bluetooth enabled phone as a remote for itunes on bluetooth laptop/desktop.
