connecting projector to iMac(G3)

Hi

I've been told that, without hardware adjustments, it is impossible to connect a VGA projector to an iMac(G3) since the iMac hasn't got a video output.

I can;t believe there is no way around it! Does anyone know whether it is possible to connect a projector for example by using some kind of adapter???

Thanks!

Cyriel

I am not sure which type of iMac ( CRT or flat panel ) you are trying to use the projector on. On the CRT - remove the back vented cover plate and you will find a VGA connector. We have used this many times to connect up to a projector. For the flat panel, check here.

I think the iMac has a secret VGA output on the back { only mirrors }. Member iDunno told me about it you should track him down and ask.

All of them mirror. Neither CRT or flap panel, will let you expand the desktop. The CRT's have the regular size VGA connection ( hidden under the vented cover ) and the flat panels use a mini VGA connection.
