Swapping the HDD in Apple Xserve?
I just ordered a Serial ATA drive for my Xserve G5, thinking that the open drive bay would contain all I needed to hook up an HDD into Apple's Apple Drive Modula (SCA-like) interface.
I was dumb not to check, I'll admit that-but it appears that the open bay was just there for show, as it has no way to fit into or interface with the rest of the system.
So right now I'm looking at swapping out one of the 80GB SATA drives in one of the Apple Drive Modules for the larger 250GB drive I just bought. Does anyone have any experience doing this?
