Powermac dual 1.25gig / dual 1gig price difference

I was looking at the difference in price between the dual 1.25gig and 1gig Powermacs, there is a $800 price difference.



Would the 2gig of L3 cache on the dual 1.25gig machine make a big difference in speed over the 1gig of L3 cache on the dual 1gig?



I assume this is a good portion of the price increase considering how close the 1.25gig and 1gig processors are to each other.

    You always pay a premium to get the very fastest processor in a given platform. Plus you get more RAM, a bigger hard drive, more cache, etc.
