Well i jsut go everything hooked up, then i opened the dvd drive. it doesnt drop down all the way, however. It drops down jsut enough for the tray to come out, but it kinda scrapes it as it is opening. is this normal??? \
I've seen this happen a couple of times. In the past I've seen machines where the drives tray appears to be sitting too high. As a result it doesn't open its tray as cleanly as it should.
Open the tray, and then from the top press down lightly on the part of the tray that is closest to the opening itself.
If it's anything like the other machines I've seen there should be a little clunk as the drive mechanism seats properly in the G5s case.
