This is pretty nice but I'd like to see what Pioneer has for an encore. The piddly differences between the 03 and 04 models was nothing.

I think Pioneer is stuck like Apple. There having a hard time keeping up with the (PC) tech. Pioneer still has the best DVD-R drive out there(My Opinion). It has the most compatible formats out of all others.

Estimated selling price of under $350? That sounds like a fantastic deal.

so how long does it take to burn a DVD at 2x? (i assume this is what the iMacs have) Seems like it would take forever!

Yes Eugene. Methinks a DVD Burner in my future is closer than I had once thought.

A little over half an hour including closing the disc.

4x would cut the time to under 20 minutes for sure.
