External DVD-R
So here it is a year after I purchased my Powerbook G4 Titanium and I'm sorry I didn't pay the extra money for the SuperDrive.
I was just reading an article in Mac Home about the LaCie 16x d2 DVD±RW Double Layer external drive. They seemed to love the drive; very fast and very reliable, one thing cough my eye; they stated that while they weren't able to use iApps (iDVD, iMovie) with the Double layer, LaCie provided a driver to allow it to work with the iApps in single layer mode.
I went to the LaCie site and serached high and low for anything about the iApps and I found in their FAQ:
Q:iDVD will not recognize my DVD-R(W) drive.
A:iDVD will only recognize the internal SuperDrive built into the Mac.
I was wondering if anyone has done this with an external drive and could shed some light for me.
Thanks
