External HD with iTunes library and iPod...will they work together over a FW hub?

My TiBook is seriously starting to hurt for HD space, and I'm contemplating moving my iTunes library over to an external 200gig FW drive. The thing is, I want to be able to connect my iPod as well. There's only one FW port on my TiBook, so before I go out and pick up a FireWire hub I wanted to check and see if anyone could tell me whether it will be possible to connect the iPod to the same hub as the external FW drive and still have iTunes sync playlists.



Anyone tried this?

    I use an external drive for my iTunes library and an IOGear powered firewire hub to connect both my drives and my iPod to the computer. Everything works like a charm. You should have no problems.
