iMovie driving me nuts, keeps quitting

OK, I have 10 hours of DV footage to edit. It's on a pile of miniDV tapes atm.



I have a firewire hard drive to put it on. Sadly, one port is broken on the hard drive, and my laptop (12" G4) only has one firewire port. So I can't capture directly to said drive.



I have a Pismo which is currently doing the capturing. Since Final Cut Pro requires a G4, I'm using iMovie to get the footage in.



Alas, iMovie (3, on OS 10.3.1) keeps quitting with an Unexpectedly Quit message.





Any ideas why?
