eMac G5 ?

I wish to buy a eMac from Apple Store with the educationnal discount program.



But I saw the iMac is out now with a G5 processor. Does Apple will upgrade their eMac to G5 processor someday ? Because I don't want to buy a G4 eMac before Apple launch their G5 eMac :/

    Someday? Yes. But perhaps not in the near future. If anything, Apple may put the G5 in a PowerBook well before the same processor finds its way into the eMac (or iBooks, of course).

    yea emac is generally geared toward educational use, and has always been the lowest end desktop so i wouldn't expect G5 in it for at least a year.
