iMac G5 question: memory in pairs?

I was curious if anyone knew the answer to this. Must you install the iMac G5 memory in pairs like in the tower? The hi-res Apple PR pictures show both slots populated, but it also shows the Airport slot populated. Maybe the took pictures with all empty slots full so it looks better.



I hope you don't have to upgrade in pairs despite the slight slowdown in overall system speed.
