Login Window Starting Stall

Hey guys,

So whenever I restart my PowerMac here is what happens.

The network initialization takes a long time to happen, and after it finally does it gets to 'Login Window Starting' and just stays there. The progress bar keeps moving but nothing happens, I even let it run for almost an hour and still nothing.

I have zapped the PRAM and reset the nvram, anyone have any other ideas.

Oh yeah, I also repaired the disk, and it says it appears to be OK.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Pull out the network cable and try it out once. Some of the services that are starting during boot might be trying to locate resources that don't exist.

Did you try to clear the caches using something like Panther Cache cleaner?
