I'm sure this is really easy, but I need to find a how-to guide to adding RAM to a Revision B Clamshell iBook. I've been hunting the web and basically a friend is going away in a few days for good and I need to get the RAM in her laptop and I need to know exactly what tools I need and where it needs to go.

This may seem straightforward but I don't have the iBook to even poke at will only have one chance to see it.

fanx

It is in the Manual from Apple's web site. http://manuals.info.apple.com/Apple_...2iBookG4UG.pdf

    It starts on page 51.

well, that link was for a G4 iBook... but the ram for the old clamshell is still under the keyboard.

two clips at the top of the keyboard (between ESC - F1 , and between F8-F9) will release it so you can tilt it up/forward and fold it over onto the trackpad.

If it has an airport card, remove it.

a small phillips screwdriver to remove the metal pan underneath the airport card.

pull the old ram, insert the new.
