Will the 1.25gig'er be the quietest Powermac?

Well I'll be very interested in hearing from some of you when you receive your 1.25 duals as to the noise level.

Today my PC in the office finally died (Yeah!!) and now I have an excuse to get a new Powermac.

After reading about the noise levels of the dual 867Mhz and some dual 1gig machines I am very pleased with the lack of noise from my 933Mhz. at home.

I'd consider getting one of the 1.25 dual Powermacs only if the noise won't make me rum from the office.

I'm crossing my fingers!

Why would the 1.25 be any quieter than the dual 867 and 1GHz?

Natural causes, or was it an "assisted suicide"? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

    Because power macs are magic!

They could only be louder, assuming you don't want make to it run ecessivly hot. Transistors basicly only produce heat when they are turned on and off, so more cycles == more heat.
