airport express/itunes question
the express/itunes combo work very well,
but whenever i stop playing songs and come back to play again, the following message appear, sometimes i have to restart itunes or restart the express.
"the remote speaker is currently being used by someone else. please select another speaker from the menu at the bottom of the itunes window.'
i am the only user in the house, so i m sure sth's wrong here.
any clues?
thanks

Comments
1) Turn off the SSID broadcast (create a "closed network")
2) Use MAC address filtering so only your AirPort card can access the base station
3) USE ENCRYPTION....WPA if you can, else 128 bit WEP at the least
Of course this could be something entirely else wrong, but if it IS because someone is leeching off you then you need to take steps to protect your network.
yeah, I ve done all that u ve mentioned,
still the same old problem.....
It's always the first thing I try when odd things start to happen.
i will try that tonight and see if it helps.
thanks

I was having lots of problems with my Airport Express, so I completely reset it. They key is to use the Airport Express setup assistant the first time you configure the APE, otherwise some functions like music sharing do not work. (or at least this is what worked for me after a few hours of hassle).
