is this a good monitor for a mac, why does it say it only supports certian realution, why is this, or is it just bull.

    Macs support VGA resolutions, so you'll be able to use both the 1152x870 and 1280x1024 modes. However, the 60Hz refresh rate at 1280x1024 will probably be a strain on your eyes. Above 75Hz should be OK.
