Need a phone software

Hi,



Does anyone know of a good telephony software that I can use with the built in imac modem to make calls over a regular land line?



At the minimum I need a Mute function on the software.

    Thanks but this is IP to IP or IP to land. same as Vonage and I already have that.



    What I need is a telephony software that uses the voice capability of modems to turn your pc into a phone. You would use the Pc's microphone and speaker or a headset to place calls.

    Skype Out is only for making calls to landline phones using your computer. It doesn't answer incoming phone calls using your modem for voice on a landline.

    If your on an OLD OLD school Mac you might remember Megaphone. Darn shame that no such app exists today....
