canon xj325 fiery

canon clc700

macos 10.3.5

i was able to connect through apple talk

to the print que of the fiery. i can print configuration

pages etc. from the fiery itself but when trying to

print from any app, it spools, shows on the fiery

machine window, but then just disappears?

im not familiar with apple talk so maybe its

something simple in the network preferences that

im overlooking? (apple talk zones...?)

or is it the fiery itself?

i would really appreciate some help, i cant believe

that with mac osx i cant print to a fiery?

thanks

We have a fiery setup at work and I've been printing to it through Appletalk no problem. Only hiccup I've had recently was print jobs being sent but the copier spitting out pages of print source code. Turned out to be a driver problem, but that was on a Windows machine. Sorry I couldn't help more. \

    no worries,

but are you the one that setup the print connection?

if so can you run through the steps? is there any network settings?

are you printing through a network? or is the computer connected direct

to the machine? are you using a crossover ethernet cable?

i dont know much about networking so...

    thanks

I print to a Minolta Pi6200 Fiery print server connected to a Minolta Di520 copier. The server has AppleTalk enabled, so the first day I just enabled AppleTalk on my Cube and discovered the print server.

Network-wise there are no special settings on the server other then AppleTalk being enabled. We print via ethernet cables nothing special there either. If it didn't work I'd be in trouble since I've only spent about 10 seconds ever setting it up Mac side.
