Can't send invitations from iCal.... Help!
I create an event in iCal, and then go into attendees, I enter the letter 'O', which brings up the name Owen from my Address book... so far so good... then I click on "Send Invitation"... but a warning then comes up telling me I need to have a card in my address book for owen and also myself before I can send an invitation.
I already have card's for both myself and Owen, obviously because all I needed to do was type 'O' for his name to appear.
Do I need to sync Address and iCal before hand for it to work? But I am assuming they are already sync'd... so what is going on?
The exact wording of the warning is.... "Before you can invite anyone to an iCal event, you need to add their name and email address to your Mac OSX Address Book and create an address card for yourself"
Because,
iDunno

I realise this post was over 6 years ago, but how did you manage to fix the problem, having the same issue and google isn't yielding any results.
Cheers
