My 15" powerbook keyboard is broken :-(

Hi guys



i'm new here, so be nice ;-)



i have pulled off acouple of keys when i was cleaning my laptop. i don't have apple care, and i want to know how i can get a replacement keyboard (i can fit it myself) or were i can get it repaired in the uk?

    Unless you've really forced them, you probably haven't damaged your powerbook keys, and they can simply be re-attached. The mechanism is a little fiddly, but you can find instructions on the internet - all powerbooks and ibooks for the last five years have had essentially the same keyboard so any instructions you find will work.



    If you've actually snapped the plastic, or lost any of the parts then you're in trouble because Apple don't supply replacement parts (at least, not to members of the public). Your best bet is to go to a dealer and accept that you'll pay a premium for them to order and install the keyboard.
