Powerbook G3 DVD Playback Problems !!

I have a 400mhz Powerbook G3 Series notebook (Lombardi series with the bronze keyboard) which I obtained secondhand. The unit seems to be very well made and in good shape, but I can't play DVD movies on it. The drive will read data from DVDs, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the drive. I am aware that newer versions of the DVD player software (2.2 and newer for sure) are not compatible with this machine. I don't have the restore CD but I installed OS 9.2.2 and the DVD player will not play !! Any info that could help me resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

    you need 1.3 or lower. it uses hardware decoding. so, find that, and it'll work

    I have been looking for the last few days to find 1.3 and still NO LUCK. Anybody out there can send me a link to download it!
