Warning throw away those old iBook Batteries

I had an old camshell battery that would not charge in my ibook anymore so I thought I would give it a go with this VST charger i have. I left it a few hours then luckily I came back to it and I found a funny smell was coming off it and it was really hot. I noticed that something metal inside was melting the inside. These are lithium ion batteries and they set on fire if exposed to the air!



Lucky escape!

    Maybe the thread title should read "Warning recycle those old iBook batteries."
