Favorite Firewire Enclosures?

I will be picking up a 1ghz 17" Powerbook later this week, and need to start looking around for enclosures. I took a look around at Newegg and saw a couple I sort of liked, but I don't think I found what I wanted. I really would like something made of aluminum and that looks simple. (I already have the drive). So what are some of your favorite enclosures? Firewire 800 would be nice but not necessary. I do like the one I saw here-

And it is dual drive. But right now just looking for a single drive solution.

I think that these are quite 'sexy' drives. My current favorite style.

Is it something you want to travel with or one that'll just stay at home?

I've got a couple of ADS Pyro enclosures that work/look fine, but I'm sure you can find cheaper enclosures.

WiebeTech have some really nice (but pricey) ones too.

    Good luck!

I certainly love the Porsche enclosures, it's too bad you can't buy them without the drive. Or am I mistaken on this? I also like Lacie but it is the same issue. The Wiebe Tech drives are also nice. May take a look around a little more. I think my favorite is still the Porsche enclosure. Nice and simple. Portability would be nice, like having a built in power supply, but not necessary. The Powerbook I am getting has an 80 gig drive, so I should be good till I bring it back to my room.

Looks like you want a HD enclosure. If it was for an optical drive I would go for WiebeTech or StorCase Rhino Jr.

You could try the MacPower products, they are cool and quite cheap.

I really really like this one-

This and the Porsche drive enclosures are my favorites. However, this one is 180 dollars! I think the Firewire 400 version of this is still 130. When I was looking around the site, I saw they make this case-

It is quite expensive at any of the online stores that I have seen. But then it is the same thing as this one at OWC-

So does OWC simply rebrand their stuff and sell it for cheaper? I sure would like to find the Pleiades for cheaper, there is no way I can justify paying 180 dollars for an enclosure.

I need to take mine with me so I have a MCE Transport Pro. It is only firewire400 and usb 2. It came as a kit and you have to install your own harddrive in it. It's perfect as a portable drive enclosure.
