Need help setting up wireless internet connection.

Thanks for reading this. Been working on this for awhile - I'm running OS 10.3.5 on a G4 Powerbook and am trying to create a wireless internet connection with an OWC card and a Netgear wirelesss router. I'm able to connect to the internet through the router when cabled, but going wireless has been a no go. Any help is greatly appreciated. -Dave

    I use a different brand router (Linksys), but here goes. A lot may be irrelevant.



    Try:



    1. checking the lights on the router to see if the wireless light is on.



    2. checking to see if you have WEP/WPA on, or if you have restricted the access to certain MAC addresses. I thought all these would be off by default, but you never know. Turn all security off and see if you can connect.



    3. changing the channel - default is usually 11 I think, but try another channel.



    4. ensure that you are trying to connect from close to the router to make sure you have a strong signal.
