Apple just discontinued the 15" studio display. They weren't really selling any, or trying to sell any either.
This may be a sign of things to come, at least a price drop for the 17". At most, a switch to widescreen 17" and 19" monitors.

Do you have a link that announces this?
I just checked the Apple store and the 15" is still for sale.

Perhaps they have discontinued manufacturing them, but they will still be available until the existing stocks run out.

Or they just stopped ordering them untill the stock depletes. Apple likes to manage their supply pretty closely so if they think they have too many they might stop untill inventory gets low, then start-up again. The 15 is way over-priced though, and so is the 17, which is odd considering the 22 and 23 are both very good deals.

Okay, so it's Spymac, but it's not some sort of outlandish claim of a new black Titanium laptop with dual G5s and built in bluetooth that weights 3 lbs.
Also, check here:
Both sources point to the removal of 15" Studio Displays within a few weeks and the 15" iMac within a couple of months. It seems reasonable, I'm sure the 17" iMac has been stealing sales from the 15" models, especially the superdrive one. They've also been dropping the prices, which seems like a move to clear out inventory.

Ya, I would tend to agree that this at least looks highly likely.... I would sure like all of the iMacs to go to 17". (Well, all except for the lowest priced one possibly, cuz they need something well priced there as well)
