Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 on Panther?

Is anybody using this webcam on Panther? The Logitech website says the OSX X driver is only for up to 10.2.6, so I was leery about trying to install it on Panther.



Can I make this webcam work?

    IO Experts have a driver for it that costs $19, and the 4000 Pro is on the list.

    Hmm... just tried it. It seems to work okay, but I am not convinced the picture quality is as good as it could be. On Windows (using Logitech's driver), the video quality seems much better.



    It appears there's no escaping buying an iSight. Thought I could do this on the cheap (considering it's not something I'll use every day) but apparently not.



    At this point, I would not recommend the use of this cam with OS X.
