What is a normal amount of time to wait for a prize from Apple?

A month and a half ago I won a competition in Australian Macworld, the prize consisted of:

Panther

iLife 04

Jampack for garageband

a .Mac account

and an M-Audio keystation 49e keyboard.

I am still waiting.

I e-mailed the editor of macworld about 3 weeks ago asking, politely, how long should I expect to wait as i was really looking forward to the prizes. He apologised and said he would get straight on it.

I am still waiting.

I have e-mailed him every week since, as they are yet to turn up, and now he isn't even replying to the e-mails.

So is this long a wait normal Apple procedure, or have they forgotten about me?

paranoidly yours,

Am I missing something? It seems to me that your problem is with Macworld Australia, not Apple

He said he would get in contact with Apple as they are the ones who send the prizes. And I know of another website that is sponsored by Apple, if you give away Apple prizes you just pass the address onto Apple and they send them out.

I just wondered if anyone else had ever had to wait for Apple to send out prizes?

Kickaha and Amorph couldn't moderate themselves out of a paper bag. Abdicate responsibility and succumb to idiocy. Two years of letting a member make personal attacks against others, then stepping aside when someone won't put up with it. Not only that but go ahead and shut down my posting priviledges but not the one making the attacks. Not even the common decency to abide by their warning (afer three days of absorbing personal attacks with no mods in sight), just shut my posting down and then say it might happen later if a certian line is crossed. Bullshit flag is flying, I won't abide by lying and coddling of liars who go off-site, create accounts differing in a single letter from my handle with the express purpose to decieve and then claim here that I did it. Everyone be warned, kim kap sol is a lying, deceitful poster.

Now I guess they should have banned me rather than just shut off posting priviledges, because kickaha and Amorph definitely aren't going to like being called to task when they thought they had it all ignored *cough* *cough* I mean under control. Just a couple o' tools.

Don't worry, as soon as my work resetting my posts is done I'll disappear forever.

Yes, it was a Digital Lifestyle competition, I sent in a 3D animation I did of an iMac and an iPod fighting eachother. I won and they put my name in the magazine as having won.

I think it's more like "Macworld hasn't even ordered them yet" than "Apple is slow".

Post your creation here. If it's really good, I'll send you a prize.

Well once I have the .Mac account I won, I will happily put it up and supply a link for all to see.
