I am hoping that EMC pours some serious development resources into the Retrospect products.
I have never used the Mac version of Backup, but I know from experience the Windows version needs help. It's a great program, but has some bookkeeping issues. It's indexing facility chews RAM like it's going out of style due to some inefficiency.
The other problem being is that EMC is not a consumer software company. Their target audience is big business, so it might become industrial strength and too expensive for the home user.
