Tuesday October 19th? Whats the word? Are we to be blessed with new iBooks, eMacs, PowerBooks, or even all three? Is this German site to lead us to the truth? and whats the deal with this 13.3" screen? let there be light!!!!

cause obviously german people know whats happening over here in Cupertino. I love it over in the macrumors forums how people think we'll see a G5 iBook. What a bunch of shit.

I hope we're blessed with something. Even if it's just "Announcing Address Book 4!" I'll be glad to be rid of Bono screaming at me whenever I go to Apple.com. (The purple one with him taking up nearly the whole frame is the one that bugs me.)

Stop being so paranoid. Bono is not screaming at you personally. He probably does not even know you exist.
Really hoping for an iBook revision...with a better screen resolution on the 14".
It's the only thing that's holding me back from picking one up. Heck, I could even with the 32mb video ram ...just give me some more screen real estate!
Everything else about it, meets my needs (especially price compared to a Powerbook).
I cannot imagine the iBook will get increased screen resolution before the Powerbooks will, so don't count on it.
There isn't a 14" PowerBook.
The 14" iBook has the same native resolution (1024x768) as the 12" iBook (and 12" PowerBook for that matter), making the larger screen pointless unless you want everything big.
Ideally, the 14" iBook should be something like 1152x864.

Exactly, main thing from keeping me from picking one up too.
Well, looks like there's a special event for a week from tomorrow (next Tuesday, or 26-Oct for you date loving freaks) which was announced today. Something to the effect of "Steve Jobs, Bono & Edge invite you to a special presentation ...".
Looks like more of Bono, not less, is coming soon to an Apple near you.
Wow, I thought U2 was dead... not dead on the charts... but like.... really dead... in coffins... weird.
Wishful thinking.
If it boosts iPod sales (although I don't see how that's possible) then OK, but I'm offended by any mention of U2 after 1990. It's like metallica all over again.

I think Steve and The Edge are going to hold Guartho down while Bono gives him an onstage ass kicking.

Hmm... maybe afterwards I could sue for a lifetime shopping spree at any Apple store. Hmmmm... ass-kicking... free Macs... ass kicking... free Macs... tough call.

Did they really say that?! OMG. How can that even be said!!!
Anyways... The ibooks are produced in Taiwan. Its always possible for leaks to happen and spread from that point on.

Oh no. He knows that I put off my course-work to play with my 3d-modeling program last night and he's pissed.

I didn't say nor imply there was.
I am all for increased screen resolution, however I just don't think it'll come in an iBook.
Perhaps the iBook will get that rumoured 13" widescreen.

Perhaps the new iPod or just the release of the U2 iPod...
I'm thinking it'll be the release of the new iPod, and the rumored U2 edition iPod.
