QUESTION ABOUT: TiVo Series2 DVR (140 hours)

Does anyone know if you can buy TiVo (not pay for the service) and record on to the DVR? - What I am looking to do is put a Sec. Camera on the house and have it going into the TiVo for when I am away

    Yes, unless something has changed.



    You will get a lot on annoying notifications when you go to TiVo Central, and obviously you won't be able to download program information or patches, but if you don't care, I think you will be fine.
