Build time on a new (almost stock) G5
I ordered a CTO Dual 2.5Ghz PowerMac from the UK AppleStore a couple of weeks ago. Since then, the "order status" page hasn't moved from telling me the order is "open", and it's scheduled to arrive by mid-November.
Being the impatient sort, I called Apple, but they couldn't tell me anything beyond what I already knew from the order status. The only CTO options are a 250Gb HDD and no modem - apart from that, the machine is a stock 2.5, ATI 9600 and all.
Has anyone in the UK ordered a 2.5 recently; if so, how accurate were Apple's initial shipping estimates?
