Basically how are pro apps on 1.8 iMac G5? I don't expect them to be super fast, but is the machine fast enough for progs like Final Cut Pro, Motion, Maya, Shake etc?
The simple answer is that all of those applications will run fine on the iMac G5... if you give it more memory.
The better answer is that if you are already paying for those applications, presumably because you have a business that earns money on them, you want as fast a computer as you possibly can have because it will allow you to create more, and more quickly make back the money you spent. Graphics designer's tie is worth an awful lot (even if they don't get paid an awful lot for it).
