more than one drive G4 help

Hi

I've just bought and installed two dvd burners in my girlfriends G4 but I cant get the second drive to open unless the first drive is disconnected how do i get them both working simultaneously

speak slowly and clearly because i usually use a PC

    its cool you just have to put them on cableselect mode nd then they both work
