Is there a way to export a clip in Final Cut Express (like the filmstrip feature in Adobe Premiere) so that it can be touched up in Photoshop?

I want to do lightsaber special effects and I am using Final Cut Express and Photoshop Elements 2.0

and then once the changes are done how do you ge tthe clip back into Final Cut Express...

You mean, export each individual frame in a .jpg format?

yeah, because Photoshop is a still image editor, not a motion image editor, sorry! If you export the clip frame by frame you can do it, but then you have to put them all back to gether. have fun!

It probably isn't that difficult to do... other then touching up each frame. But most programs like After Effects allows you to export and import an image sequence. So, you could export the movie as an image sequence... touch up the frames you wanted and then import the image sequence.

No, no, no. You don't have to export every frame, import into photoshop, and do ti reversed again. There is a way to save it and every frame of your movie will show up as a new layer in photoshop.

I've done that years ago, I'll try to find out how...

EDIT: What Akumulator said. But technically I posted 34 minutes before he did.
