Should I be worried if the chrome back and the white face are slowly seperating on the left side? And should I be worried if the iPod doesn't wake sometimes ever if it is not on hold and I am repeatedly pressing the buttons?
this happened on my Gen 3 ipod. If you get a pin you should be able to pop the sides gently back together. Is your lock sign still on even when you turn it off? There has been a number of cases that i have read of where the case getting a bit out of place has caused the lock sign to remain on whatever you do with the switch on top
