using sony ericsson t637 as a remote

i found the salling clicker software to use the t637 as a remote for my mac, but i was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to use it as an infrared remote for a tv. i would love to be able to do that, someone takes away the actual remote and i still have the power to change the channel. what is the ir on the phone actually meant for?i cant wait to get bluetooth for my mac so i can start being lazy and using the remote feature. has anyone here used the salling clicker software yet, if so, what do u think of it?

Probably not. Salling Clicker doesn't 'see' the IrDa port.
