Photoshop/ImageReady inconsistent color
okay, this drives me nuts... i want to use Photoshop as my creative area and Fireworks as my exporter, as there are certain things i just know how to do in both programs faster and easier, and i think fireworks handles downsampling of images with much better quality than imageready. but the color handling between photoshop and imageready is driving menuts, and wrecks my files before they can even get to fireworks.
basically, i can put together some nice, one-off graphics in photoshop. they look great. when i "save for web" or switch to imageready, all of my colors brighten and wash out. i assume this is a color profile issue, but why doesn't imageready simply adopt whatever color profile settings are in photoshop? or is it, and i just don't know where to adjust them?
anyway, any help or links someone can point me to for clarification would be GREATLY appreciated.

BRILLIANT! that URL saved the day! my images are now holding true back and forth from photoshop to save for web and imageready.
THANKS!!!
