ibook G3 900 logic board

The ethernet port on my logic board is busted. Apple tells me the repair is about $700 - $800. Pretty darn steep.



I googled ibook G3 logic boards to see if I can find one on my own, but the only thing I found was a defective one for my model on ebay.



Does anyone know a reputable source for a good price? How difficult is the swap? Has anyone done such a repair before?

    finding a (good) logic board for your ibook is pure luck.

    your not gonna get it from any apple service centers etc.



    is switching a logic board in a dual usb ibook difficult?



    if you call taking the complete ibook apart with a truckload of different skrews, brakets, cables etc difficult - yes.



    amount of time for a pro: aprox. 1 hour
