Using a PC WinXP on Airport network

I have a network setup using Airport to a cable modem for networking and the internet. I have not been able to add a PC running WinXP to the network. My cube works great, but I would like to add the PC. Is there some trick? It appears that Windows wants information that we do not use on the Mac. Or maybe these things are the same things we use on the Mac but with different names on the PC side. It has been a while since I tried this and I don't remember all of the problems we were running into but I am sure that some one has ran into these problems before. So what is the trick? Or is this possible? I thought that i remembered that Apple sold these networks to schools knowing that they may have PCs and Macs all needing to use the internet and to share a common network.
