YDL on 9600

Why can't I get YDL 3 to work on my PowerMac 9600. It installs onto the linux partition just fine, but when I try to boot from it, it always Kernal Panics and freezes? The specs are as follows



350Mhz 604ev Processor

512MB Ram

20GB HD

Voodoo5 64MB Graphics Card
