Finding out largest RAM module that will work in an older computer

Is there a website that has this kind of data, or someone here who knows? For instance, will a 500 MB PC100 RAM card (if one exists) work in my BW G3 Powermac rev A? What is the maximum RAM that is supported (in OS9.x)?

    Download Mactracker, its a brilliant app which tells you exactly the right kind of ram and maximum possible amount (not just what Apple originally claimed)
