Recording problems

Trying to record an audio book from a tape so I a listen to it on my iPod. I used the method of recording a tape from a macworld magazine where you connect the tape player to the mac and record through iMovie. I can start to record the tape into iMovie but it stops recording after 9mins and 59 secs, why is this?



Its a bit annoying as the audiobook is 3 hours long and with take forever to record it in 10min sections



Just incase this helps im using an iMac G5 with the 80GB Hard drive and about 25GB is free

    I don't know why it stops (is iMovie limited to 10 minute clips or something?), but I've done the same thing many times using Sound Studio. There are other apps out there that do basically the same thing.
