Lacie d2 harddrive

Hello, my 120gb lacie d2 drive's firewire ports shorted out a few days ago and my warrenty is out of date. I know all that is wrong is the firewire ports are fried. is there any place i can find a replacement port. I can install it myself i just need the part. If anyone can help it would be great.

    Although I am sure you live this case, the easiest solution would be to buy a new case and pull the drive.

    Sorry i can't give you any advice - just solidarity - i've had two Lacie externals die in the exact same manner - the firewire ports burnt out! Seems to be a problem with Lacie!?

    I'll go along with xsmi on this one and recommend getting a new case for the drive. Take a look at places like http://www.dealmac.com/ to see if you can get one on the cheap. Less hassle and proportional in cost.
