    Ouch. I'm just an amateur dev, I don't even work on software much. $500 for a package that I really won't use, just to see how this one feature works?



    I wonder why Apple did this. Isn't Dashboard going to use standard JavaScript for its widigets? That's just scripting... why should one have to buy a paid developer membership just to see how that's going to work and enter a contest?

    The information will be readily disclosed when Tiger is released, and you can take full advantage of it at that point. Until then, it's under NDA.
