Gridlines In Word?

How do I create gridlines in office word 2004 to create cards? I want to mess around with the layout and just go ahead and use all the cliparts that microsoft supplies and not have to download a card, so I figure I can do it, but searching for gridlines doesn't show much in Word, and wondered if anyone off the top fo their head knew so taht I can split a document into halves or quarters for cardstock to print, but not actually be seen (just visible in the document for reference to the edges).

Thanks.

I'll spare you the inevitable "yuck, why are you using Word" etc.

My answer is: I don't know.

However perhaps you could use a table and either place all the content in the cells or else just use it for positioning.

That's about all I can guess.

Word isn't really a page layout app - it's not designed for that. (Microsoft's page layour app is Publisher, which is PC-only.)

As far as I know it doesn't have a layout grid.
