USB WLAN Adapters - Which one?

The Topic says it all - I have an old G3 233 iMac, and I´d like to connect it to my existing WLAN (Airport Express).

The best Option (Aiport Card from eBay + builtin Adaptercard) doesn´t work, since my Mac is too old for this card, so I´d thought I´d go for a USB one.

Main problem is: Which one? Any recommodations? I heard the D-Links are troublesome, anyone here with experiences about them?

Thanks in advance =3

I use a Belkin connected to my Tivo...I think any namebrand adaptor would work just fine.

    Which one exactly?

I doubt that any major brand will do, since everywhere, it reads "Windows98, ME, 2000, XP" within the system requirements...

You can also use a "wireless bridge" that connects to your Ethernet port. Netgear makes one (ME101), and Linksys may still make one (WET11 - may be discontinued): both are 802.11b. There are other similar devices available for networking gaming consoles: they might work but I'm not sure they have the same flexibility in setting up features like WEP security.

I've had two of the WET11s for more than one year and they work well on strong signals, rather touch-and-go if your wireless signal is weak. Setup is via a Web browser after setting your Mac to a specific IP address - an annoying process but not impossible.

So what if it doesn't specifically say MacOS on the box? You have a mac, remember? Case in point: my roommate bought a bluetooth dongle for his PC laptop -- the box didn't have MacOS compatibilty anywhere on the box, but my old Titanium PowerBook picked it up just fine. My roommate, of course, had to use the installer CD.

Just go buy a dongle, plug it in and see if it works. What's the worst that can happen?

EDIT: OK, since it's the holidays I performed a very simple google search and found these:

    Dated.

    Better.

    Thank you very much, guys...

As for the links,I did a Google search before..strange thing they didn´t show up...

k squared: Well, I´m somewhat careful with these things, since I used Linux for about 3,5 years, and I had some painful experiences regarding compatibility. AFAIK, there is no "Standard" for USB WLAN ( as opposed to Bluetooth...)
