External CD Burner advice

I could use an external CD burner for my iMac G3400DV.

I could buy an external Iomega CD burner for $50 after rebate but I assume it will be quite slow because its USB.



Anyone have any opinions on whether it is worth buying this or should I spring for an external firewire CD burner?

    Honestly any firewire drive would be useful if you upgrade in the future and have decent speed.
