Itunes Not Recognizing Audio CD

Hi

I've recently bought an Ipod Mini, installed the software and updated the ipod with all my music from Itunes for Windows which I had preinstalled (latest version) on my system (Windows Xp Pro) had being using for some months now.

The problem is now that when I place an audio cd in the DVD/Cd

drive, Itunes is no longer recognizes the Cd despite checking the attributes in the Drive properties.

The only thing I can can think of is the for the last few months I have been using Windows Media Player 10 as my default player. In fact if I change the audio cd attributes back to WM 10 there is no problem in cd s being recognized by that player. However, Ipod Mini is not compatible with WM10.

Anyone out there with a simple solution.

so, use another ripper, like MusicMatch Jukebox or AudioCatalyst and then just add the mp3's you ripped to your library by going on File > Add Folder > The folder you just ripped.
